Hey there, welcome back to the SuperSteer Learning Center. Today we're going to be talking about two different types of suspension upgrades for the Ford F-53 motorhome - the Anti-sway bar and the Tracbar. Now, these two upgrades may seem similar at first glance, but they actually serve very different purposes, and in this blog, we're gonna break it down for you so you can make an informed decision on which one is right for your motorhome.

ANTI-SWAY BAR:  Now, as the name suggests, this bar is designed to reduce the amount of sway or lean that your motorhome experiences when you're driving on winding roads or in high winds. It does this by connecting the left and right sides of the suspension, so that they work together to keep the motorhome stable. This is a great option if you're looking to improve the handling and stability of your motorhome on the highway and especially in windy condtions.

TRAC BAR:  This bar is designed to improve the alignment of the rear axle on your motorhome. The Tracbar connects the axle to the frame of the motorhome, and helps keep it centered and in line with the front wheels. This is a great option if you're experiencing issues with the rear of your motorhome feeling loose or unstable. You may also notice a push/pull sensation when semi trucks pass you on the freeway. Lastly, if you're are noticing uneven tire wear it could also be a need for a tracbar installation..

So, which one should you choose? Well, it really depends on your specific needs and concerns. If you're looking to reduce the top end sway of your motorhome, the Anti-sway bar is a good way to go. But if you're also experiencing issues with the rear of your motorhome feeling loose or unstable, or if you're noticing uneven tire wear, the Tracbar is a good option.  But, if you are like most RV owners and are you're looking to improve both, you might want to install both of these upgrades on your motorhome, it will improve both handling and alignment. The way to know for sure would be to have a ROAD PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT done on you coach. You can learn more about that by CLICKING HERE.
