Why We Love RV Rallies — And Why You Might, Too

You're not alone if you've never been to an RV rally or are unsure what to expect. Many RVers go years without attending one… and then wonder why they waited so long.

At Henderson's Line-Up and SuperSteerParts.com, we attend rallies nationwide — from FMCA and Escapees events to Tiffin, Super C, and Sprinter-owner gatherings. Every time we walk away, we are reminded why these events matter.

They're not just fun — they're meaningful, educational, and potentially life-saving. Here's what we love about them (and why you might, too).

A Welcoming, Patriotic Atmosphere

There's something special about a rally. The energy is always upbeat, whether folks are full-timers, part-timers, or weekenders. People are proud of their coaches, eager to swap stories, and happy to help one another.

The RV rally scene has a distinctly patriotic, community-first vibe. It's not about competition — it's about connection. And that spirit of generosity is exactly what drew us into this space in the first place.

We typically attend 5 to 8 rallies each year, and every time, we show up with the same goal: to serve the RV community by helping people drive safer, smoother, and more confidently.

Why We Offer Free Chassis Inspections

One of the most popular things we do at rallies is offer complimentary chassis inspections. We don't charge for these (though we easily could). Instead, we offer them freely — because we believe that serving first builds trust, opens up conversations, and makes a real difference.

These inspections usually take about 30 minutes. RV owners can sign up at www.RallyInspections.com or register at our booth during the event.

Over the years, we've found some serious issues that folks didn't even know existed, including:

  • Broken sway bar end links
  • Loose or missing steering components
  • Completely flat inner rear dual tires
  • Cracked or missing body mounts
  • And one case that likely prevented a highway breakdown — or worse.

Who's Doing the Wrenching?

When you bring your RV for an inspection, you'll often find Tommy Henderson and his father, Robert, under the rig doing the hands-on work. Meanwhile, Rich, Mike, and Barbara worked at the booth and documented the findings.

It's a family and team effort — and we love it that way. Getting our hands dirty is just part of what we do.

More Than Just Inspections

We also host a free class at every rally called "Intro to Steering and Suspension." It's a crowd favorite, often filling up fast with RVers who want to understand better what's happening under their coach.

At many rallies, we also hold a longer, live seminar where we dig deeper into:

  • Common handling issues
  • How to interpret symptoms from your RV's steering or suspension
  • Recommended upgrades for a smoother, safer ride

Whether you're a first-time motorhome owner or a long-time full-timer, you'll leave these sessions with more confidence and knowledge.

Why We Do It

At Henderson's Line-Up and SuperSteerParts.com, we're more than a parts company. Our mission is to help people drive safer and happier and serving is apart of our core values. Offering free inspections is just one way we bring those values to life and help us accomplish leaving a legacy.
