Cross winds and passing trucks don't have to be a white knuckle experience!

Put your white knuckle driving in the past with the SuperSteer® Rear Trac Bar. Almost every RVer has experienced that uneasy feeling that occurs when the steering wheel is turned suddenly- a swinging motion that threatens your control over the vehicle. Our rear trac bar puts an end to that "Tail Wagging the Dog" sensation, greatly improving stability, driver control and safety. The SuperSteer® Rear Trac Bar prevents side-to-side motion, giving you safer and happier RV driving.

SuperSteer® SS401 Trac Bar for Ford F53 V10 20-22k GVWR, Ford F53 V8 2021+ 16-22K GVWR & Kodiak C4500/C5500 up to 22k GVWR

  • SuperSteer® Rear Trac Bars are suspension stabilizers that eliminate unwanted and uncontrolled side shift of the rear axle.

CHECK YOUR GVWR TO ENSURE CORRECT FIT!

It's easy to get mixed up when checking your vehicle weight rating. We designed our SuperSteer® rear trac bars to fit a specific GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). We have provided a photo above as an example to help you determine the correct rating for your RV. You can find this sticker inside your RV on the wall behind the driver's seat most of the time.

Please ensure you DO NOT use the GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating) as a reference for fitment. This will give you the combined weight rating of your chassis and towing a vehicle. This will be a larger rating than the GVWR and change the application, in many cases, causing fitment issues.

Motorhome chassis manufacturers use different rear axles for different weight ratings on the chassis.

Installed on 2005 Chevy 5500 34’ motorhome. Made driving 100 percent better. The motorhome now drives and responds as you would hope. No more guessing what is going to happen when hitting grooves in road, wind blowing or passing trucks. Wish I would have found this years ago. Can’t believe they don’t install these from the factory. -Scott D

So, in all honesty, we went all in. Having been dissatisfied with the drive of our F53 (22K GVW) chassis my wife and I decided to upgrade..a lot. And our rig sits 12" higher than a normal RV. We installed the Rear trac bar, FT radius rods, FT sway bar, and new Koni FSD shocks all around. We already had rear air bags and a SAFE-T-plus unit installed. With the new upgrades, I'm here to tell you, it's AMAZING. We just did a vacation that had us drive through CA Central Valley Fresno/Bakersfield/Grapevine (I-5), San Fernando Valley (I-10 Los Angeles) through Palm Springs (I-10). A ton of freeway driving until we climbed 7,000 feet to Yosemite. F53 Chassis should NOT be legal without these upgrades. Passing and being passed by semis is NO BIG DEAL @ 70mph. And we did a ton of freeway driving dealing with big rigs all damn day. No more sway, no more rut-tracking and no more wind buffeting when a semi passes at 75mph. Quick lane changes or sudden pot-hole avoidance(s) isn't an exercise in attempted suicide anymore. It is absolutely unreal the difference now and worth every damn penny we spent. Make RV'ing great and safe......choose SuperSteer!!!!! I will add, John Henderson himself assisted with a small mind-lapse I had and he was quick and patient with me. Great customer service. -Beau Ashley

After I installed the SuperSteer Track Bar it made a 100% difference in the handling, completely eliminated the back and forth movement on the rear of my coach. Still need to do a few more things to my coach but this one thing made a big difference. -James Smith

This is heavy duty and easy to install. It made a big difference in the swaying of our Motorhome. I would recommend it highly! - Cathy Couto

The difference after installing this on my motorhome was night and day. Much more stable whether driving slow or fast. Sway is greatly reduced, it just feels safer to drive. - R.Fosnaugh

My son and I installed this in about 2 hours. His electric impact wrench made the job much easier but would be possible although more difficult with hand wrenches. Very noticeable improvement in the handling of our motorhome, especially in crosswinds and when meeting or being passed by 18 wheelers. - Calvin Swiers

Installed this on our 2013 Newmar Bay Star 2901 on Ford F53 chassis. Everything we needed was included in the box. The YouTube video in how to install from the manufacturer was very helpful. All parts very sturdy looking. It took no more than an hour to install. Initial road tests (seat of the pants, no scientific measurements) resulted in MUCH less sway and roll, especially when semis are passing. Its expensive, but it does work!!! -Scott R
