Freightliner XC Chassis with IFS
The Freightliner XC chassis can be equipped with an Independent Front Suspension (IFS). Unlike traditional solid axles, the IFS allows each wheel to move independently, resulting in a smoother ride over uneven surfaces. While the ZF IFS is the most common type of IFS used on the Freightliner XC, designed to provide precise steering and responsiveness, enhancing the driver's control, some older models used the Neway IFS.

Motion Control Units (MCU)
*Measure the airline sizes front and rear at inlet of airbag. Typically, we see 1/2" on the front and 1/4" on the rear, but it does vary, so measuring is recommended. On some models, the rear passenger side airline will have a "T" fitting. We make a kit for that, so please keep that in mind. We recommend the lighter valved MCUs on the front and heavier valved MCUs on the rear. Please note that MCUs may affect function of Valid Trueline Electronic ride height leveling system.
