SuperSteer® SS701 Trac Bar for SPRINTER 3500

  • SuperSteer® Rear Trac Bars are suspension stabilizers that eliminate unwanted and uncontrolled side shift of the rear axle.
  • These trac bars help stop the push-pull effect from passing trucks and crosswinds.
  • SuperSteer® Trac Bars reduce rear tail wag and sway which can cause oversteering and constant correction.
  • With the rear suspension stabilized, the steering will be more responsive and controlled.

SuperSteer® SS701 Rear Trac Bar:

  • Eliminates unwanted and uncontrolled side shift of the rear axle called "Tail Wagging the Dog"
  • Reduces uncontrolled sway

Applications:

Dodge Sprinter 3500 (2007-2009), Freightliner Sprinter 3500 2WD (2007-Current), and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 2WD (2007-Current); Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 4WD/AWD (2019-Current)

Application Notes:

  • This part will ONLY fit 2WD dual rear wheel models 2007 and newer, as well as 4WD/AWD dual rear wheel models 2019 and newer. It will NOT fit single rear wheel models. Fits both Van and Class C 3500 Chassis with dual rear wheels.
  • Check for clearance behind rear axle. Components installed by the coach builder, such as propane tank/lines, generator, hydraulic jack motor, and other items may prevent installation of this product.
  • If a Hellwig rear anti-sway bar with non-OEM saddle brackets is installed, different fasteners may be required than what are included in this kit. Refer to the installation instructions for details if this applies to you.
  • Exhaust must exit in front of the rear axle. If not, the tailpipe must be modified to provide clearance.
  • Does NOT fit with airbags.
  • The Van Compass Agile Offroad Leaf Springs include brackets which support the bump stop spacer differently than factory, and require longer bolts to hold the sway bar saddle brackets to the axle. See photo below:
