Applications:
Ford F53 V8 with 16,000 lb GVWR (2020-Current); Ford F53 V8 with 18,000 lb GVWR (2020-Current); Ford F53 V8 with 20,500 lb GVWR (2020-Current); Ford F53 V8 with 22,000 lb GVWR (2020-Current)
Application Notes:
This kit is designed to fit the new Ford F53 V8 chassis. If you have the Ford F53 V10 chassis, please use the SS280 or SS281 package, depending on your GVWR.
Radius Rods will interfere with the front sway bar if the "Cheap Handling Fix" has been done. We do not recommend changing the angle of the endlinks. The second hole in the sway bar is not meant as an adjustment point and will cause excessive force on the endlink, sometimes resulting in breakage.
The SS526 does NOT fit Thor Outlaw toy haulers due to additional bracing on the frame.
CHECK YOUR GVWR TO ENSURE CORRECT FIT!
It's easy to get mixed up when checking your vehicle weight rating. We designed our SuperSteer® rear trac bars to fit a specific GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). We have provided a photo above as an example to help you determine the correct rating for your RV. You can find this sticker inside your RV on the wall behind the driver's seat most of the time.
Please ensure you DO NOT use the GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating) as a reference for fitment. This will give you the combined weight rating of your chassis and towing a vehicle. This will be a larger rating than the GVWR and change the application, in many cases, causing fitment issues.
Motorhome chassis manufacturers use different rear axles for different weight ratings on the chassis.
