About the Author:
Robert Henderson has the experience to answer your RV-handling questions. He grew up in the alignment business his father, Floyd, started in 1961. He spent his years learning every aspect of the business before taking over in 1982, as a young man. Particularity focused on steering play, he found ways to eliminate or reduce that troublesome element as well as other handling issues. His frustration with outcomes that weren’t consistent led to the development of SuperSteer products in 1990. His involvement in stock car racing paved a foundation in the knowledge of Panhard bars, sway bars and shocks. SuperSteer products provided solutions to steering and handling problems.
Robert completed a management degree with ASMI (Automotive Service Management Institute) and continual training through SBA sponsored courses. He is ASE certified in brakes and steering. Robert graduated from a two-year curriculum of courses from the School of Business and Biblical Economics.
In 2000, Robert, along with his brother, John, started the MSSI (Motorhome Steering and Suspension Institute). It had become obvious there was a serious need for hands-on training for techs, service writers and owners. It is offered once a year and soon to be offered online. In his younger years, he learned a lot of concepts by stock car racing and applications that worked for handling improvements. Henderson’s is a nationally recognized name as a “go-to place” for RVs of all types, handling and steering solutions. Out of the process of inspections, weighing and driving the vehicles, the RPA (Road Performance Assessment) was trademarked. Safer and Happier Driving is their company mission.
Robert attends several national RV Rallies every year and is a featured seminar speaker. He leads the Coach Ride and Handling round table at the FMCA national conventions.
