Ford E350 & E450 Chassis Overview
The Ford E-Series motorhome chassis, including the E350 and E450, is one of the most widely used and well-established platforms for Class C motorhomes in North America. Built on Ford’s long-running cutaway van design, it is engineered to support the weight and demands of a fully equipped motorhome while maintaining reliable road performance and serviceability. Current models are powered by Ford’s 7.3-liter V8 gas engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, providing strong low-end torque suited for moving the weight of an RV, climbing grades, and towing when needed. Because the E-Series has been used by RV manufacturers for decades, it has become one of the most common chassis found under Class C motorhomes, valued for its durability, straightforward maintenance, and the widespread availability of parts and service, making it a proven and dependable foundation for long-distance RV travel.

Ford E450 V10 (Up to 2020)
The Ford E450 chassis is commonly used on larger Ford V10 class C models, typically over 25 feet long with a heavier GVWR. Click the image below for upgrade options!
