Our suspension package starts with our SuperSteer® Heat Treated Front Sway Bar, SuperSteer® Replacement Rear Sway Bar, and Koni shocks for the front and rear. We have several addon options to the base package, including the SuperSteer® Rear Trac Bar, the SuperSteer® Quad Shocks for the front and rear, and the Roadmaster Auxiliary Rear Sway Bar . Our packages vary depending on the year and GVWR rating of your coach. Each package option adds an additional upgrade to the suspension. Package options are detailed below:
SS283 Includes:
SUPERSTEER® FRONT HEAT TREATED SWAY BAR
The SuperSteer® SS101 front sway bar is heat treated, offering a stronger alternative to the traditional sway bar upgrade. When heat is applied during manufacturing, the steel hardens and becomes stronger. At 1 3/4" diameter, it is larger than the stock sway bar. Traditionally, for every 1/8" sway bar diameter size, you gain 30% increase in strength. Heat treated sway bars provide approximately 60% increase for every 1/8". A huge improvement for such a small increase. The sway bar will help eliminate sway and body roll in your RV.
Our heat treated front sway bar kit also includes upgraded heavy duty endlinks. They are thicker and stronger than the factory alternative, reducing the risk of breaking. Our kits come with polyurethane bushings and all the hardware needed for installation.
SUPERSTEER® Replacement Rear Sway Bar
The SuperSteer® SS102 rear sway bar is a factory replacement. At 2" diameter, it is larger than the OE sway bar. For every 1/8" sway bar diameter size, you gain 30% increase in strength. A large improvement for such a small increase. The sway bar will help eliminate sway and body roll in your RV.
Our kits come with polyurethane bushings and all the hardware needed for installation.
KONI SHOCKS FRONT AND REAR
Koni offers new Frequency Selective Damper (FSD) for select motorhomes. This shock has a special valve that filters out vibrations before they get into the coach. This new technology will give you a smooth ride over expansion joints while controlling pitching and swaying. Koni has developed FSD for many of the common RV suspensions.
SS283-1 Includes SS283 Package AND:
SUPERSTEER® REAR TRAC BAR
Almost every RVer has experienced that uneasy feeling that occurs when the steering wheel is turned suddenly- a swinging motion that threatens your control over the vehicle. SuperSteer's® Trac Bar puts an end to that "Tail Wagging the Dog"sensation, greatly improving stability and driver confidence. The SuperSteer® Trac Bar attaches at one end to the frame and the other to the rear axle, preventing side-to-side motion.
SS283-2 Includes SS283, SS283-1 Packages AND:
SUPERSTEER® front and REAR QUAD SHOCK KIT AND TWO ADDITIONAL front and REAR KONI SHOCKS
This SuperSteer® Quad Shock Kits allow for the mounting of four shocks on the front and rear of the Ford F53 chassis. We recommend only using a hydraulic shock, such as Koni, when installing quad shocks.
SS283-3 Includes SS283, SS283-1, SS283-2 Packages AND:
Roadmaster Rear AUXILIARY Sway bar
Bigger is better - Roadmaster anti-sway bars have a thicker diameter than stock bars (often, a quarter to three-eighths of an inch more). Each incremental increase in diameter has an exponential effect on performance - on average, torsional roll stiffness is increased by 30 percent with every eighth-of-an-inch increase in diameter. In plain English, RSS anti-sway bars offer up to 90 percent more resistance to sway.
A high-grade alloy - RSS anti-sway bars are made of 4140 "chomoly" steel (a chrome and molybdenum alloy) which is considerably stronger and more durable than the standard spring steel (a 1020 grade) used in many stock anti-sway bars.
A better pivot point - RSS anti-sway bars have polyurethane bushings, which, unlike the rubber used in stock bushings, is impervious to gas, oil and ozone corrosion, is more resistant to abrasion, and doesn't buckle under heavier load weights.
Each kit comes complete with heavy-gauge mounting hardware, easy-to-follow instructions, and the bushing lubricant.
